Did you hear that someone stole the Empire State Building

I wanted to share something with yout today that I came across the other day. The Empire State Building was stolen - yes you read that correctly it was truly stolen. The ownership was stolen.
The New Your Daily News stole the building by drawing up some bogus documents and using a fake notary stamp and then filing the paperwork to transfer the deed of the property.
The paper did give the property back, but they did this to show that there needs to be tighter controls and document checks on things like this.
I just wanted to bring this to your attention that it does happen. I in fact personally know another investor whose’s tenant filed a quick claim on his property so that it could be used as collateral to get her boyfriend out of jail.
