As a Real Estate Investor New or Old do you have a horror story to share???

Today I wanted to do some thing a little different.  We have all heard and many of us have experienced a lot of success in Real Estate investing – this is what keeps us in and draws many new people in on a regular basis.  But – today I don’t want to cover the success stories.  I want to shed light on the fact that there can be some horror stories as well.  I am not doing this to bring doom and gloom to Real Estate Investing, but I am starting this post so that we can share some of the “lessons” that have been learned and inorporate those into our bag of tricks.

I will share some of my horror stories over the next few days, but for starters I will give a few topics that mine have been related to:

  • Working with Family
  • Failing to Get Everything in Writing
  • Not Screening Out of State partners better
  • Being to sensitive to life

Please take a minute to post your comments and horror stories and if possible the lesson you learned so that others can learn and grow from your experience.

Have a great week-end

Stefanie

How can you do them?

I got a call from a seller who has very little (if any) equity, so I was planning to do a cooperative option with them. Then I found out that the property has been listed with a… Continue reading Lease Options with Realtors
